Business Travel ~ What to Eat!?

Have you ever thought about how many decisions we make every day? First, it's what time should I get up, then goes what should I wear, skirt or pants, shoes or boots, lipgloss or lipstick? And then, of course, what should I eat?

I have always been an advocate of healthy living, and, as long as my fridge is stocked with yogurt, veggies, and fish, I don't have any difficulty to follow my diet routine at home. When I'm on the road, however, it is hard to eat healthy ~ I often find myself in unknown places, get stuck at the airports, and feel tired and stressed towards the end of the day. The day-trip itineraries looks like this: airport - Court - airport. Naturally, eating healthy is not something I want to do! Of course, I do understand that, unlike the junk food, the healthy food helps me feel good...

So I decided to put together a list of my thoughts and the usual choices I make during my travels (my picks are in the column on the right). It's amazing and frustrating
how much effort and discipline maintaining weight takes... luckily, it gets easier with practice...

Breakfast: McDonald's or Starbucks?
Okay, that's no brainer!
Bagel or yogurt parfait?.. I always eat yogurt at home, so maybe... Maybe not.
Coffee or Caramel Latte?.. I always drink coffee at home, should I?
In the airplane:  coke or water?
10AM: OMG! It smells so good! How can I refuse from a Cinnabon? But I really should have an apple, I'm not even hungry...  So glad I didn't eat the bagel...
Lunch: Salad or veggie burger? I wish I didn't eat that Cinnabon :-( and I hate feeling guilty after I eat junk food.
Okay, I will NOT have M&Ms!
Dinner: Italian pasta bowl or Japanese fish and rice tray? I wish I didn't eat that Cinnabon!
Beer or water? Maybe, I can settle for the ice-tea.
...a lot of food for thought...

What choices do you make when you travel? Please share!

xo, Zuma A.
