The Golden Oil for your Face

I was hooked after one application. I mean, before I tried it, I was more like ~ why would I want to put any oil on my face? Haven't I spent years trying to get the oil off of my face? Then I heard that Cleopatra used face oil to enhance her beauty in the desert conditions, and, if it was good enough for Cleopatra, it should be good enough for me to give it a try... especially since with age, my skin feels dryer and duller.

Knowing that the dry winter months are upon us, I hurry off to the store to stock up on face oil

What does the face oil do? Well, when wrinkles suddenly start looking deeper, it's because our skin's natural oil decreases and the skin dries out. Are you there yet? Luckily, we have face oil to nourish the skin with the intense moisture. Apparently, this was a well kept backstage beauty secret! Face oil maintains moisture, brightens the skin, protects from pollution and toxins, calms skin, and gets antioxidants and vitamins into the skin.

And I love face oil because it makes my skin look more radiant and softens the appearance of fine lines! Face oil is light weight and absorbs quickly. Did I mention it also smells good?

What to look for when buying a face oil? Sorry to break it to you, but not all oils are created equal. Higher priced oils are less refined, less processed, and are purer. Less expensive oils can have additives, byproducts, or refining bleaching processes. With oils, you get what you pay for. Great oils include argan, jojoba, apricot kernel, avocado, macadamia, kukui nut, borage, and camellia.

How to apply the face oil? Warm about three drops between hands and press gently onto cleansed face. You can use the face oil alone. Face oil is also great for layering, or, for a moisture or radiance boost, just mix in a drop of oil into your dailymoisturizer or foundation.
